Disc Three is Live At Fairfield Hall, Croydon (1975). Disc Two contains the album 2nd Street (1976). Disc One features the 1975 album The Band Plays On. Joining forces with Terry Wilson (bass), Mike Montgomery (keyboards) and Tony Braunagel (drums), who had played together in Bloontzfrom, plus singer Terry Wilson-Slesser, Kossoff's Back Street Crawler solo record gave the new band their name, who were then signed by Ahmet Ertegun to Atlantic Records.

Free guitarist Paul Kossoff's first move was to record his solo album Back Street Crawler for Island Records in 1973. After forming in 1968, the British blues rock legends Free finally called it a day after 1972's "Heartbreaker", just as the band was on the verge of cracking America. The story of Back Street Crawler is a sadly short one, but also a tale of what might have been. It's A Long Way Down To The Top (Outtake).She later revisited the song during the sessions for Blue, recording a version that included strings, that differs from the version that was later released as the b-side to her 1972 hit “You Turn Me On, I’m A Radio.” The final unreleased song is the studio recording for “Hunter,” another song that was cut from Blue at the last minute that Mitchell later performed live but never officially released on an album.

The other alternate take is for “Urge For Going.” Mitchell originally wrote the song in the mid-Sixties and often included in her early live sets. The first is a version of “River” that adds French horns, unlike the album version, which features Mitchell solo on piano. There are also two alternate takes on the EP.
